  • Competitions will adhere to World Rules for pool tournaments. Details can be found at Intermission Amusement Centre.
  • Shooting backwards and two shots on the black is permitted.
  • Male competitors will have to adhere to the "cushion" rule, where upon the white ball striking a coloured ball, something must be pocketed or touch a side. Failure to do this will result in a standard foul.
  • Female competitors do not have to comply to the "cushion" rule.
  • Random draws are used to match up players.
  • Competition will be based on single elimination method, and each round is the best of 3 games.
  • Each match will be self-adjudicated. Any disrepencies must be referred to the referees. Referee's decisions are final.
  • All competitors must take note that un-sportsmanship behavior will not be tolerated, and may result in a temporary or permanent BAN from gaming areas. Bans are reported to and permitted by RMIT Union.

Please note that referees have the right to change the above rules before the start of the competition. It will be announced to the players, and at the consent of majority of the players.
